Vidi host Ujpest for the 50th time on Saturday

There have been exactly 100 matches between Videoton and Ujpest over the years. Vidi enjoy a slight advantage going into Saturday's game. There have been 41 wins over the lilacs, despite the Budapest club enjoying success in the 70s for a long period in games involving the two. Ujpest have picked up maximum points in 38 of the 100 games to date with the remaining 21 ending in draws. Ujpest have scored 4 goals more with a 150-146 goal difference. Laszlo Karsai has had the most success in finding the back of the Ujpest net. He managed to do that 7 times in the games he played in. Istvan Salloi ended with 6 to his name while 3 players share 5 goals each. The trio are Tibor Wollek, Jozsef Szabo and Gyozo Burcsa. On loan signing Ze Luis managed to hit four goals in the single season that he was with the club. Vidi have enjoyed superior results over the last 10 years. First league match:
The two first came up against each other on the 20th June 1968 at the Sostoi stadium. The eventual runners up, Ujpest Dozsa comfortably won 6-2 with the Vidi goals coming from Laszlo Karsai and Laszlo Bodnar.

First Vidi victory:
Ujpest had a superior goal difference of 6-22 in the first four matches between the two. The first win came in the fifth match in season 1970/71. Match 10 of that season produced a 2-1 home win with the goals coming from Tibor Wollek and Laszlo Csukovics.

Biggest win:
That came in season 2001/2002 in match 37 of the campaign. Ujpest were comfortably beaten 5-0 in Szekesfehervar. There have been a further game with a four goal margin and six more when Vidi won by at least three goals. 

League match with most goals:
A high scoring match took place in match 12 of the 1977/78 league season. There were ten goals shared on that day and six of those came from Vidi players. Goalscorers were Laszlo Tieber with a hatrick, Jozsef Kovacs, Gyozo Burcsa and Jozsef Szabo. The final result was a 6-4 home win. 

Longest unbeaten home run!
There was a very good run of home results from 1987 - 1996, which included 9 league games on Vidi's own pitch. Those matches saw the red and blues remain unbeaten with 6 wins and 3 draws. If Vidi do not lose on Saturday afternoon, that will match a record of 21 years. A win or a draw would mean that Ujpest have not been able to collect 3 points from Vidi since 2007. Those 8 games have seen 5 wins and 3 draws so hopefully points will be picked up at Felcsut. The last home match at the Sostoi stadium was back on the 19th September 2015. That game ended in a 3-0 win against Vignjevic's side and Vidi went on to pick up the league title.
