Vidi come from two goals down to draw with Slaven Belupo

Videoton were in friendly action due to the international break and drew 2-2 with Croatian opponents.

Videoton took the opportunity during the international break to play a friendly game against Slaven Belupo of Croatia. Manager Marko Nikolic had the chance to watch his side against the current Croatian first division side who are sitting in 7th place in their domestic league. Nikolic had to do without Mate Patkai, Adam Kovacsik and Stopira who are all away with their national teams. Patrik Reti, who plays his football for the second team of Vidi also made the move up together with Martin Takacs and Elvir Hadzic. The opponents included former Vidi duo Dinko Trebotic and Mirko Ivanovski in their line-up. Ex Debrecen player Selim Bouadla also started for them.

It was Vidi who had the better start with Hadzic and Szolnoki looking dangerous after 12 minutes. However, that chance was blocked by a visiting defender. It was Belupo who took the lead 6 minutes later. Trebotic got hold of the ball and played it through to Pejic on the right who from close range made it (0-1.)

A Lazovic ball through to Geresi after 22 minutes was brought down well by the winger, but he ended up shooting wide of the goal from a tight angle after rounding the keeper. The Croatians then doubled their lead after 26 minutes. Ivanovski raced into the Vidi box, before finding Trebotic, who from close range rolled the ball in to the back of the net (0-2).

Videoton tried hard to get back into the friendly and they managed to score a goal: Lazovic played the ball into the middle to Geresi, who played it on to Nego, with the French player confidently scoring from the right side to make it 1-2. The final action of the first half came with a move that involved Lazovic and Geresi, but their attempt was blocked and the rebound fell to Hadzic, but the Bosnian midfielder sent his shot just wide of the goal.

The Croatian side made changes at the break while both Juhasz and Lazovic came off to be replaced by Henty and Suljic. Nego was very unselfish after 57 minutes when he passed to Henty, but the forward's effort did not end up in the goal with keeper Blazevic saving well. Nego then played a one-two with Geresi shortly after, but again the keeper was on hand to deny the chance.

Reti came on for Varga after 61 minutes while Vidi keeper Horvath saved a shot from Mladen. Elvir Hadzic came on after 68 minutes and that saw both Anel and Elvir play together after Scepovic was replaced. The equaliser arrived three minutes later when Suljic curled a corner in that was connected with by Fejes and the ball eventually settled in the back of the net (2-2).

There was no change to the score with the two sides sharing four goals in this friendly match.
