Videoton win away at Lombard Papa

Videoton extend their lead at the top with a 2-1 win at Papa

LOMBARD PAPA - VIDEOTON 1-2 (0-2)

Videoton were in Soproni league action  on Friday evening, when they headed to nearby Lombard Papa. Gyorgy Mezey's side, made it three wins inside a week, following last week's 3-1 home win over Haladas, which was followed up on Tuesday with a 2-1 away win at Zalaegerszeg. Things looked good at half time as Vidi led through an Elek goal after 18 minutes, which was doubled by top scorer Andre Alves after 45 minutes. Hefler pulled a goal back for Papa after 55 minutes, in an eventful game that also saw Akos Elek sent off in the last minute.

The win made it 20 points from 9 games, giving Vidi a lead of 4 points from second placed Ferencvaros, who also won 3-0 against MTK on Friday evening. The referee was a busy man as he handed out 9 bookings and a sending off. Vidi are now unbeaten in four matches, with the last defeat coming at Debrecen recently. Things are looking good, and the fact that Videoton managed to win at Papa, which not many teams will do this season, as Lombard Papa are difficult to beat.
