We take a closer look at how Ferencvaros have been performing this season.
Ferencvaros went into the winter break sitting in 4th place in the league table. Things did not change after last weekend's first league game of the spring. Thomas Doll's side have played 20 matches and collected 31 points. FTC have won 8 times, drawn 7 and lost 5 over the 2016/2017 season. A total of 34 goals have been scored and 27 conceded at the other end. Top goalscorer with 8 goals is Marco Djuricin. Saturday's opponents have played 10 games on their home pitch and picked up maximum points in half of those. Only Vasas and Paks have come away from the Groupama Arena with 3 points.
Pre-season saw them play 7 friendly matches and win 3 of them. Tevel were defeated 23-1, BKV Elore 5-0 and Tatran Presov 2-1. There were three defeats against Zemplin Michalovce 0-1, Rapid Vienna 0-1 and Slovan Liberec 2-3. The remaining game was drawn with Sparta Prague 0-0.
There was plenty of movement in the playing squad during the break with 6 arrivals. Istvan Bognar, Endre Botka, Julian Koch, Amadou Moutari, Janek Sternberg and Laszlo Kleinheisler all came in. An equal number departed the Budapest club with Attila Busai, Adam Csilus, Gabor Gyomber, Dominik Nagy, Adam Pinter and Cristian Ramirez heading out.
Ferencvaros drew 0-0 away at Debrecen last Saturday. They lined-up as follows: Dibusz - Botka, Dilaver, Leandro, Koch (Hüsing), Hajnal (Ryu), Kleinheisler, Moutari (Lovrencsics), Sternberg, Radó, Böde.
