The two sides played out a goaless draw at the Bozsik stadium on Friday morning.
The friendly match kicked off in sushine, but with a certain amount of cold weather in Budapest. The two sides agreed a friendly at the Bozsik stadium in Budapest as a result of the free weekend in the calendar due to the international break. There was a debut for keeper Adam Kovacsik who played the entire match.
The first 10 minutes included a small chance for Honved player Youla and an effort from Oliveira. There were no real problems for either keeper to deal with. Gyurcso sent in a cross on 16 minutes, which was headed back to the far post by Feczesin, but Lovric was on hand to clear the ball away from in front of goal.
Oliveira rolled the ball from the left five minutes later for the arriving Poloskei, who after controlling the ball, hit a shot that went wide of the left post from 20 meters. A counter attack from the home side on 24 minutes saw Holender's good chance saved well by Kovacsik. There was action again in front of goal moments later, but Paolucci's attempt was again well dealt with. There was a final chance on half time with Gyurcso trying his luck but Kemenes was on hand to deal with the chance as the two sides went in at the break with no goals having been scored.
There were 7 changes at the break by Vidi boss Ferenc Horvath. Sejben, Szekeres, Soumah, Stopira, Rudolf, Heffler and Ivanovski all coming on to replace Oliveira, Feczesin, Nego, Szolnoki, Vinícius, Suljic and Gyurcsó.
Nagy then hit a shot that went just wide on 55 minutes for the home side after the ball was rolled back from the left. A King cross moments later saw Vasiljevic well placed inside the box, but he connected badly with the ball and the danger was cleared. The biggest moment in the game came after 70 minutes: King hit the post with a powerful shot from 12 meters out, before Farkas flicked the ball wide of the left post from 9 meters. The young home striker then tried with a 76th minute header, but that too did not hit the target. With 15 minutes remaining of the friendly match, Heffler crossed for the arriving Ivanovski, who allowed the ball to bounce, before hitting a shot from 17 meters, which Vajda saved. Vasiljevic then tried to curl a ball beyond Kovacsik, but the keeper did well to close down the angle. That was the final bit of action in a friendly match that did not produce any goals.
There were three substitutions involving young Vidi players from the second team. Bognar, Kiprich and Geresi all played the final 20 minutes of the game. Vidi are next in action at the Sostoi on the 18th November, when they play Haladas in the second leg of the Hungarian cup.
