The two managers spoke to the gathered media following the match.
José Gomes: "We started the match well. We thoroughly prepared for the game with Paks, getting ready all week for their type of game. They also did the same with us by all accounts. One thing certain is that it is sometimes easier to play against a side with 10 men, but there are also times when it can be harder, with the team that is reduced to 10 men concentrating on defending. I felt that we would have won the match even without the sending off. We did not plan a points target after four matches. The players have worked very hard, and they have put in unbelievable work in training. The rewards of this work are the 12 points we have picked up. This has not just fallen into our hands, but rather we have worked hard for them!"
Horváth Ferenc: "The match was settled very early, and there was not much to get excited about after 6 minutes. We were down to ten men at the home of a very good side. One thing that I can be pleased about is that they did not knock us out, but Vidi won by being more precise. We had something in reserve, but it is hard after a shock of being 2-0 down to get back off the floor. We managed to do just that. The sending off was valid, and there are no doubts regarding this. I was also pleased with the ovation I received from the Fehervar supporters. I am always delighted when I come to Szekesfehervar. However, now I am leaving the Sostoi stadium sad.
