Istvan Kovacs looks forward to Wednesday's second leg match at the Pancho Arena.
"The away match at Ferencvaros was not easy, and I feel that the second leg could be even harder. Ferencvaros have to score a goal if they are to have any chance of going through. It is clear to see that FTC are one of the strongest sides in the country, which is based on their performances over the season. We will need to play with the same discipline and organization, which we showed in the autumn, and in our game this February. That will make things harder for them if we can do this. We sat back and allowed them space on purpose, but they were met with aggressive defending when they got to the final third. They did not know what to do as a result. The fact that we will go in to the second leg with a goal advantage gives us hope. It is an additional motivation. We unfortunately have not performed as best as we would have wanted to in the league, so winning the Hungarian cup would be a nice trophy to place in our pockets. I have been a Videoton player for four years now, and this is the only trophy that the team have not won in that time. I am sure that the Hungarian cup will be a big motivation for everyone. The win against Puskas FC helped our self-confidence, and the fact that FTC lost at the weekend plays no significance. I do not think it will influence the return leg on Wednesday" - commented Istvan Kovacs to the club website.
