Videoton may have suffered a cruel and undeserved injury time goal, but they are still in the Champions league, with everyting to play for in the second leg on Wednesday 20th July. An even first half saw both sides try to gain the upperhand inside the Klagenfurt arena. Vidi were supported by a noisy 1000 supporters, who backed their side to the final whistle. There was plenty of good passing from Paulo Sousa's side as they looked to attack the home side, with Andre Alves causing problems for the Austrian defence. Akos Elek was running the midfield and his energetic display will have pleased the portuguese manager. Videoton did not come here to defend and they did well in the opening 45 minutes. English referee Stuart Attwell, booked both Liptak and Horvath, which meant that both central defenders had to watch their step for the rest of the match.
