A goal from Petryak gives Vidi the three points

Vidi came away from Ujpest with a 1-0 win thanks to a second half goal from Ivan Petryak.

Match 18 of the OTP Bank league saw MOL Fehervar FC travel to Budapest to take on Ujpest at the Ferenc Szusza stadium. Ujpest suffered a 4-0 away defeat at Debrecen last week, while Vidi picked up a point in the 0-0 home draw with Budapest Honved.

Vidi started the game well and with 4 minutes played, Elek lifted the ball in front of Stopira, who cut the ball back with his head for the arriving Futacs, who volleyed over the bar from 6 meters. It was the home side that took over things in the minutes that followed. However, they were unable to carve out a goalscoring chance although several crosses did come into the box. Ujpest tested Kovacsik in the visiting goal for the first time after 38 minutes. Houri's former team mate in Romania, Calcan shot at goal from 18 meters, but Kovacsik confidently dealt with it. The remaining first half consisted of a corner from Milanov, which Ujpest keeper Banai did well to save ahead of Roland Juhasz.

The first 10 minutes of the second half passed by without incident. Houri then did well after 56 minutes when his 20 meters curling free kick was heading for the top corner, before Banai pulled off a very good save to keep the score at 0-0. The rebound fell to Stopira who headed the ball onto the bar. Pauljevic tried with a powerful long range shot for the home side after 70 minutes. Stopira also saw his header four minutes later go wide of the post following a corner.

Ten minutes remained of the game when Zsoter sent a free kick from 19 meters at goal, but Kovacsik managed to tip the ball over the bar. It was the substitutes that linked up well to find the breakthrough after 85 minutes. Hodzic found Petryak on the left and his first time low curling shot found the back of the net (0-1).

There was no change to the scoreline in the minutes that remained. Vidi picked up the three points in a battling display at the home of Ujpest.
