Hungarian national team legend Roland Juhász, joined Vidi first on loan from Anderlecht and then permanently, has had a great career.
He started his youth career at Tápiószecső and made his debut in the top flight for MTK in 1999 at the age of 16. After more than 100 games, which included Hungarian championship, cup and super cup victories, he left Hungary in 2005 to join Belgian record champions Anderlecht. He won four league titles, a cup and a Super Cup, captaining his team and played in the Champions League, scoring against Milan. After 207 games in total, he left Belgium to join Vidi.
He is an exceptional goalscorer, having gone from striker to defender at MTK - scoring against AC Milan in the CL, among others - but also scored six times for the Hungarian national team. In 2016-17, he was able to try his hand in midfield under Henning Berg.
He was voted the best defender in Belgium in 2009, the best Hungarian player of the decade in 2010, the Hungarian Player of the Year in 2008, 2009 and 2013 (already as a Vidi player), and was capped for the Hungarian national side 95 times in total, including a farewell game.
He has also had a number of major successes at Vidi, winning the league gold medal in 2015 and 2018, the Hungarian Cup in 2019 and silver five times (2013, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020). He scored a number of important goals, most notably his header in the 3-2 win against ETO in August 2014, his match-winner against Újpest in the first two matches at the MOL Arena Sóstó and his header against Honvéd, as well as his goal against FTC in the last match of his career. He retired from active football on the 23rd June 2020, having played a total of 245 games in the red and blue and scored 28 goals. Since autumn 2020 he has been helping Vidi as a coach, and then from 1st April 2021 he worked as an assistant to Imre Szabics with the first team.
Since 17th October 2022, he has been sport director of Fehérvár FC.
