We start against Paksi FC, who reached the final of the MOL Hungarian Cup last season

Although the top scorer Martin Ádám has left Paks, their players have not forgotten the art of scoring: in the summer friendly matches, Paks players scored a total of 52 goals.

The first NB I match of the 2022/2023 season will be played on Sunday at 18:00 against Paks FC, the team we played the final match of the 2021/2022 season against on the 14th May at the MOL Arena Sósto. It's only been two and a half months since the last meeting between the two teams, but the Paks team has undergone a lot of changes, with the replacement of head coach György Bognár by Róbert Waltner and the departure of Martin Ádám, who won the top scorer title with 31 goals.

Paks played 11 training matches this summer, winning nine and drawing twice. 52 goals were scored and only 12 conceded by our opponents on Sunday.

Paks FC started their preparation for the new season in mid-June, and the Green and Whites played two training matches with a goal shower at the beginning of the pre-season. First, they won 12-0 at home to Kecskéd, and then they didn't stop until 17-0 in Ercsi. A few days later, Siófok proved to be a tougher opponent, but they managed to beat the NB II side 3-2. They played their fourth friendly match at the home of DAC and also won 3-1. For the first time, Róbert Waltner's team stumbled in their fifth preparation match, drawing 2-2 against Szeged in Paks. Like DAC, they beat III District 3-1 and then travelled to Slovenia for a training camp. Paks won 5-2 against FK Arsenal Tivat of the Montenegro top flight, Sparta Praha drew 1-1 and SK Sigma Olomouc of the Czech top division came from two goals down to win 3-2 on Sunday. Paks also won their last two training matches, beating Kozármisleny 2-1 and PMFC 2-0. So it can be said that Paks' preparation went well, winning nine of their 11 training matches and drawing twice. The goal difference is 52-12, which means that despite the departure of Martin Ádám, Paksi FC have not forgotten how to score goals.
