Michael Boris: "We are physically and mentally ready for the start of the championship"

Our team's first league match of the 2022/2023 season starts on Sunday at 18:00 in Paks.

"I am excited for the start of the championship. On the one hand, it could be an advantage for us in Paks that we already have two games behind us, but on the other hand, we have to be very careful about regeneration. We made a number of changes to the team for the return leg in Gabala, so I think we're physically and mentally ready for Sunday's game. It's always difficult to play against Paks, especially away, but we've watched their past games, analysed them, they're a compact team, so we'll have to give everything to win the league game. We have heard that there will be changes in Paks' style of play after the change of manager in the summer, but most of their squad has stayed, so I expect them to play as aggressive as they have done in the past. We have to play hard, perform well in the matches and show our skills on the pitch to win the match against Paks." - head coach Michael Boris told our website ahead of the league opener against Paks FC on Sunday at 18:00.
