Goals from Scepovic and Hadzic earned Vidi a 2-1 friendly win during the international break.
The international break gave Henning Berg an opportunity for his side to play a friendly game against Croatian opponents on Saturday. Videoton travelled to the home of current fifth place first division side Slaven Belupo. The Vidi manager fielded the following side: Horváth - Nego, Szolnoki, Juhász, Stopira - Maric, Varga, Hadzic, Suljic - Lazovic, Scepovic.
The first chance of the game went to the home side after two minutes with a close range Tadic shot being saved by keeper Horvath. The next effort came 15 minutes later with Vidi's Mirko Maric linking up with Marko Scepovic, who ran at goal and the Serbian forward calmly stroked the ball beside Blazevic and into the back of the net (0-1).
The action continued on 33 minutes with Nego showing good skill and crossing the ball for Maric to connect and send the ball into the back of the net, but the match official ruled it offside. There was no further real chance on either goal and the teams went in at the break with Videoton leading 0-1.
Vidi started the second half in good style by doubling their lead after 47 minutes. Istvan Kovacs did very well with his solo run and good skill before finding Anel Hadzic with a low cross, and the midfielder made no mistake to make it 0-2.
Belupo then had a chance 10 minutes later when former Debrecen player Selim Bouadla found himself in a good position, but his shot was stopped by keeper Horvath. Nego had a big chance after 72 minutes but the French player shot into the side netting. A strong Baric shot minutes later was well saved by Horvath and the ball went out for a corner. The home side scored a consolation goal with 3 minutes remaining when Heber curled a good shot into the top left corner (1-2).
There were no further goals and the game ended with Videoton winning 2-1 at the home of Slaven Belupo.
