Training session and press conference on the day before the match against Gabala SC

After the morning training session, our head coach Michael Boris and Vidi's new captain Attila Fiola answered journalists' questions.

Our team's morning training session started at 10:00 am, the first 15 minutes of which were open to the press and focused on the ECL qualifier against Gabala SC on Thursday at 19:00. This was followed in the afternoon by a press conference at the MOL Arena Sósto with our head coach Michael Boris and our new captain Attila Fiola.

Our head coach first talked about the team's summer preparation, the training camp in Austria and the fact that the national team players started working together a little later, as they got extra rest. The focus was not only on training, but also on building the team unit even better. "We tried to map our opponent, Gabala SC is a physically strong team and their set-pieces are very dangerous. Of course we want to start the new season with a good result," said Michael Boris.

"This year our preparation lasted longer, and the coaching staff had more time to get to know all the players, as we had new players in the squad. I feel that our friendly matches went well and in the last match, not only the result but also the play was good. I am confident that we will do equally well against Gabala SC. I expect a tough game on Thursday night, as there are no easy matches at international level today. I hope that this season will be better than last year's and if not for the league title, we will definitely be fighting for second place behind Ferencváros," said Attila Fiola.
