The thoughts of the two managers

Gyorgy Mezey spoke shortly after the 1-0 defeat at Paks

Videoton went down to a single goal defeat on Tuesday evening, when a sixth minute goal from Bartha, was enough to split the two teams. Manager Gyorgy Mezey spoke shortly after the final whistle.

Gyorgy Mezey: "Andjics made two mistakes in the first half, and one of those resulted in them scoring a goal. The other gave Paks a good chance to make the score 2-0, and they could have led by that scoreline at half time. That was the reason that I decided to take him off at half time, and reorganise the team. We ended up chasing the game in the second half, which is normal in games like theses. I thought that Paks deserved to keep the three points at home, based on their performance in the first half. I would like to congratulate Karoly Kiss and his side!"

"It meant a lot to the outcome of the match that we were able to score early in the game. We also managed to play good football at the same time. We were organised and disciplined today, and closed them down well, even though we had difficult periods during the game. They put plenty of pressure on our goal at times, but this is normal when you come up against a better side. We also had a further chance or two when we hit them on the counter attack. Today's win is just as big a success as our recent league cup win. I hope that Videoton go on to win the league title!"
