The two first met back on the 20th June 1968, at the Sostoi stadium, in a match that eventual runners-up, Ujpest won 6-2. Laszlo Karsai and Laszlo Bodnar scored Videoton's goals that day.

Ujpest won the first four matches between the two, scoring 22 and conceding 6 goals in the process. Videoton won the fifth game between the two clubs. That came in the 1970/71 season, when Vidi won 2-1 at home, with goals from Tibor Wollek and Laszlo Csukovics.
The biggest win:
That came in season 2001/2002 in a game played in Fehervar. Vidi won that game 5-0, in the 37th game of that season. Vidi have also managed to win by four goals and by three goals on 5 occasions.
The longest unbeaten home record:
That was between 1987 and 1996, when Ujpest failed to win in 9 games at the Sostoi stadium. Those 9 games brought 6 wins and 3 draws.
The last Ujpest win:
Ujpest have not been able to beat Videoton in the last four games in the league. The violets last beat Videoton by a 1-0 scoreline back in May 2008. The last four games have produced two wins for Vidi and two draws.
The last Vidi win:
Was in the 2009/2010 season when a 4th minute Daniel Nagy goal was enough to separate the two sides at the Ferenc Szusza stadium in Budapest. While Vidi last beat Ujpest at home on the 17th November 2006 by 3-2. Julinho, Kuttor and Dajics scored that day for the red and blues.
