In the 2022/2023 season, MTK Budapest played in the NB II and finished second behind DVTK, so the blue and whites managed to get back to the top division immediately after the relegation year. Dávid Horváth's side are still in sixth place in the table despite four heavy defeats this season - twice against FTC and twice against Puskas Academy (MTK - FTC 1-6, MTK-PAFC 0-5, FTC - MTK 5-1, PAFC - MTK 6-1).

We have won both of our league games against MTK Budapest so far this season, winning 3-0 at home and 2-0 at Hungária körút. The Blue and Whites have conceded the fourth most goals in the league (54) after Újpest, ZTE and Mezőkövesd, while we have scored the second most (51) after FTC.

In their last five league games, Friday's opponents have collected 8 points, only MTK lost to champions FTC (1-2), while they won 2-1 at home to DVSC and Újpest, and drew with Kecskemét and DVTK.

MTK Budapest's top scorer in the league is István Bognár with nine goals.
