Vidi beat DAC FC in the at the Pancho Arena in the final summer pre-season game.
Vidi drew 3-3 with Serbian side Topolya on Tuesday evening. They also faced DAC at the Pancho Arena on Wednesday with Marko Nikolic fielding the following side: Kovácsik – Fiola, Juhász, Vinícius, Stopira – Pátkai, Nikolov, Hadzic – Nego, Scsepovics, Milanov.
Nego saw his shot at the DAC goal early on go wide of the target from 16 meters. Vidi had a big chance to go ahead after 31 minutes when Fiola blocked a shot and Nego and Milanov linked up to put Scepovic in which a chance but the forward controlled the ball and then saw his shot roll the wrong side of the post.
The match picked up and Divkovic had a shot that deflected off Juhasz and went out for a corner. The resulting corner was collected by Kovacsik ahead of Bednar. A counter attack resulted in the ball at the other end and Scepovic with another chance, shot over from 15 meters. The breakthrough arrived after 38 minutes when Stopira found Hadzic, who played a lovely ball into the middle for Nego to make no mistake (1-0).
The first half ended with a shot from DAC player Blackman, but Kovacsik comfortably went down low to deny him. There were no changes at the break but the score quickly changed. Blikenkyi was quick to pounce on Kovacsik and place the ball into the back of the net to make it 1-1. Scepovic tried to regain the lead but his effort was saved by Jedlicka. With 61 minutes played, Kovacsik did well to save from Kun Bertalan from 25 meters out. The Vidi keeper again had to be called into action when Bilenkiy sent his left footed shot from 19 meters towards the bottom right corner. Cmelik had a shot that went off Nikolov and out for a corner with 66 minutes played. The lead was restored six minutes later when Nikolov took another dangerous corner that was powerfully met by the head of Roland Juhasz (2-1).
The game was made safe on 84 minutes when a lovely move down the left was finished off by Nego following a cross from Stopira (3-1).
The referee blew for full time and Vidi emerged 3-1 winners to close the summer pre-season. Vidi will now travel out to Montenegro for the Europa League Q1, first leg game.
