The two managers shared their thoughts shortly after the final whistle on Saturday.
Marko Nikolic:
"I congratulate the players for this very important win. The good series of results continues with 8 wins and a draw in the last 9 games. We will carry on and take each game step by step towards our target. I felt we started the game well with us attacking in the first 15 minutes. DVSC changed their formation as a result. We still directed things after that but started the second half slowly. We lost our tempo and Debrecen went ahead from a free kick. This woke us up and we went on to deservedly win the game. We still needed Adam Kovacsik to make a very important save at the end."
The journalists were interested in the performance of Mate Patkai and asked Marko Nikolic about this.
"I firstly want to congratulate Mate for the amount of games he has played in the first division (300). He was the hero of the country a few days ago and today he is Vidi's! This is not by accident as he is a very mentally strong player. He is clear with his strengths and weaknesses and works really hard. You only have to look at the chances he has inside the opponents box and is a box to box player. He deserves the successes that football has given him over recent days."
András Herczeg:
„We defended our lead too much after going ahead. That resulted in us allowing the opponents to come at us. We had fewer chances in the second half than we did in the first. We complicated things when we did have a chance in front of goal. We could have taken the ball behind their defenders or hit balls from deep but we messed these up. We made many errors and overall I congratulate Vidi for the win. We did well at the home of the champions. Daniel Zsori had a chance at the end, which sadly did not go in. You need to be more exact and brave to get results."
