Looking ahead to this weekend's Monicomp league matches

Videoton have the chance to extend their lead at the top of the table

The Easter weekend has produced some exciting matches in the Monicomp league division one. Videoton have a home game on Saturday, against a Lombard Papa side who are unpredictable. It provides Gyorgy Mezey's side with the ideal chance to extend their lead at the top of the league table.

Győri ETO - Haladas  2-2
Ujpest - Zalaegerszeg  4-2
Videoton - Papa
Siofok - Szolnok
Honved - Paks
Kecskemet - Kaposvar
Vasas - Debrecen
MTK - Ferencvaros

Győri ETO kick off this weekend's round of matches with a home game against Haladas, the team that beat Videoton last Sunday. Győr are a tough side to beat on their home pitch, so it will be a real challenge for Zoltan Aczel's side. The second of Friday evening's games takes place at the Szusza Ferenc stadium, with Ujpest up against fifth in the table ZTE. Ujpest really need to win to climb away from the relegation zone. Third in the table Kaposvar travel to Kecskemet, with Kecskemet going into the game with confidence, following their 5-1 Hungarian cup semi-final first leg win over ZTE during the week. There is a real relegation battle on Saturday with Siofok entertaining bottom of the league Szolnok. A win for the home side will pull them further away from the bottom, after their recent good run of matches. Vasas have been the real surprise side of the spring season, and they remain unbeaten, and will fancy their chances against Debrecen at the Illovszky stadium in Budapest. Current champions Debrecen have had a difficult season and parted company with their manager during the week. Gyorgy Mezey will be hoping that Honved do his side a favour when they take on Paks at the Bozsik stadium in Kispest. A win for the home side would be a real boost to Videoton's quest for the league title. The final match of the weekend takes place on Sunday, with fourth in the table Ferencvaros making the short journey to MTK. The blue and whites currently occupy one of the relegation places and they will be anxious to collect all three points.
