Long serving goalkeeper, Zsolt Sebok will be leaving the club this summer
Zsolt Sebok has served seven seasons for Videoton FC, becoming a favourite with the Sostoi stadium crowd in the process. However, with his contract coming to an end this summer, he will not be offered a new contract and will leave the club. He made his first division debut back in 2000, for Győri ETO in a match at Diosgyőr. He went on to become first choice at Győr, before a move to Videoton in 2004.
He was the star of the show as Vidi went on to win the 2006 Hungarian cup final, following a penalty shootout. His performances improved and he had a very good spring season in 2008. He even managed to make it into the international squad, but an ankle injury meant that he could not play for his national side.
He found himself behind new arrival Mladen Bozsovics at the start of the 2010/11 league season, and ended up making very few appearances in the season just ended. He was chosen for the Hungarian cup matches, and helped Vidi all the way to the cup final. Sebok was a popular figure around both the stadium and the town itself.
Now the player and the fans will go on a separate path, but the club, on behalf of the supporters, would like to thank Zsolt for his time with our club. Videoton would also like to wish him the very best in his continuing career and life after that.
