Mladen Bozsovics has become a key member of the Vidi side
- There was big expectation before your debut for Videoton. It began with some bad luck, where you were fault for Siofok's opener. Many were saying at the time that they did not understand why you came to the club. You have since gone on to show why you came....
+ Every player needs time to adjust to a new club, to a new team, to get familiar with the new language, and a new area and habits, which is all normal. If you add to all this that I was not in the best of form at the beginning of the autumn season, where I could not produce the type of performance that I wanted to or am capable of doing. I lost my place in the side following that game with Siofok and I tried to prove what I could do when I was next chosen in the team. I managed to do this and I went on from strength to strength. My situation became easier with each passing week, as I got to know the lads better, and the way that we play football. I managed to blend in better, and play the way I know I can. I have found my place in the team now, and I feel good at Videoton.
- The improvement in form increased your confidence, and your performances for the Montenegro national side played a part in this. Is this true?
+ There was a run of six international games where the national side did not concede a single goal. This would have a positive effect for any side. I was pleased when I got the positive press in the national media. I was pleased with this as I do not feel as though I will be leaving Vidi, seeing as I have two and a half year contract left.
- Although you managed to keep clean sheets for Montenegro, this was not possible with Vidi. You were promised a bottle of champagne if you did not concede a goal for Videoton. Did you receive it?
+ Yes, of course! There was a period in the season when we seemed to be getting penalties against us. This was the case against Szolnok, Haladas and Paks as well as in the match with Kecskemet. The main aim of a goalkeeper is not to let goals in. Luck also plays a part in this. The home game with Ujpest finally saw us keep a clean sheet, and the Siofok match after that was the same. So I got my promised five litres bottle of champagne following that match. I really hope that there will be very few times when I have to pick the ball out of the back of the net.
