The two managers shared their thoughts shortly after Vidi's 4-1 away win.
Joan Carrillo:
"We played a good match against an attacking Puskas Academy side. We started the game well and we had chances. However, the home side took the lead following a mistake. The game then became more balanced. We had to take Roland Juhasz off at half time due to injury and decided to switch to a back three system. We have played before in this formation in training and in friendly matches. We needed to take a gamble and it came off today. We played with belief and great intensity out there on the pitch. We had good possession of the ball in the opponents half. The players showed good decision making and were very motivated. I was not too nervous at half time as I could see on the faces of my players that despite being behind, they knew that they could turn the game around."
The manager also mentioned two points during the press conference following the game.
"I know that ladies day will be on Sunday, but I want to take this opportunity to wish Hungarian women a happy ladies day. I also want to thank the female Vidi supporters, the players and the families of our coaching staff. Naturally I also want to thank my wife. I also want to pay special thanks to those that followed the team to the Pancho Arena today. They produced a great atmosphere and I ask them to come out on Wednesday against ZTE in our cup match. Get behind the team in good numbers. It is so much easier to play like this when you can feel the support behind us."
Hornyák Zsolt:
"I am very upset with the final result. Three, if I am strict, then four goals were given away by us. You cannot make mistakes like this in the first division. These were basic errors and in games like this, one is many, not even taking about three! We were aggressive in the first half and I could see the will to win. However, Vidi are a good team and they took advantage of our mistakes and came back into the game. We tried to push forward with Gyurcso stepping further up and we also brought Bence Sos in to give us more pace. Favrov also pushed forward. This was an attempt at 3-1. We could have easily won this game, but in the end I have to congratulate Vidi on the win."
