It's Debrecen next up in the league

Vidi entertain Debrecen on Friday, at the Sostoi stadium in what will be the match of the weekend

Videoton's home game with Ferencvaros in the autumn season attracted the largest attendance to the Sostoi stadium. Friday evening's match with Debrecen gives a new possibility to beat that. There was close to 8,000 present when Vidi drew 1-1 with FTC, and this weekend's game could come close to that figure, or even further it. It would be great to see a full stadium, singing and backing their favourites on to victory. A win against Debrecen, could increase Vidi's lead at the top of the Monicomp league table to over ten points.

Week 20 fixtures:
Friday
17:00: KTE-Ereco – ZTE FC
19:00: Videoton FC – Debrecen
Saturday
15:00: BFC Siófok – Vasas-Híd
15:00: Lombard Pápa – Kaposvár
16:00: Paksi FC – Sz. Haladás
17:00: Bp. Honvéd – Szolnok
17.30: Győri ETO – Ferencváros
Sunday
17:30: Újpest FC - MTK

Third place ZTE have an away match at Kecskemet on Friday as well, although that match is due to kick off at 17:00pm. If Zalaegerszeg fail to pick up any points in that match, and Vidi beat Debrecen, then the lead over Janos Csank's ZTE would be 13 points, as well as a much better goal difference. Second placed Ferencvaros make a difficult journey to 'draw specialists' Győri ETO on Saturday. Győr have a new manager in Aurell Csertoi, and he will be looking for his new team to get off to a winning start at home. Ferencvaros' next game will be the big home derby clash with rivals Ujpest! Haladas are beginning to move away from danger at the bottom of the table, having picked up some important wins lately. Vasas-HID are another side to have started the spring season in goof form. They met Videoton in the first spring fixture, with the match ending in a 0-0 draw. They have since won 1-0 away at Győr, and a similar 1-0 home win over Ujpest.

Friday evening's home match with Debrecen will go a long way to determining the outcome of this season's Monicomp league. If Gyorgy Mezey's side can emerge winners in that game, then it would be very hard to see another side push Vidi from the top.

vidi.hu will cover the full build up to the big game during the week.
