The two managers spoke shortly after the final whistle.
Imre Szabics:
“I'm very happy with the win, our goal was to progress, and we managed to do that. We changed six positions in the starting line-up from the weekend, and the positive thing is that those who were given a chance this time were able to start the game so well. We should neither overestimate nor underestimate today's result. I'm also happy about Niko's treble, it's always important for a striker to score goals, the confidence needed for strikers always comes with goals. I saw a good and not so good performance today, we will watch the game again, regenerate tomorrow and then prepare for the league game against ZTE.”
Ákos Buzsáky:
“Today's match proved that the team has improved a lot since the summer, but for us the most important thing is to succeed in the NB III. Of course, I was proud of the team for the cup run, but if it was our last game, it was a very good one. Vidi obviously came away with the idea that qualification is very important to them, and I asked the boys to show our philosophy this afternoon. Anyone who came out could see that BVSC were not playing a particularly defensive, half-hearted game, but that we were trying to play our own game. Obviously, today we made some mistakes because of Vidi's quicker players, which do not come out in the NB III. But even with the result, I am immensely proud of my team. They work and play with sincerity, pure heart and great enthusiasm.”
