The BVSC manager gives his thoughts ahead of Wednesday's cup match.
“It's a big thing for any NB III side to host a top team, and Vidi is one of the most influential Hungarian teams of recent years. It is a great honour, but also a great opportunity for us. We had a league game on Sunday, which means that we actually had two days to focus specifically on the cup game, but I think that in a match like this, a coach should concentrate more on the psychology of the match. For our players it is a reward game for having already seen off three teams from the cup. They deserve the chance to play against such a strong team." - said Ákos Buzsáky, who is preparing the BVSC team for Wednesday's cup match against Vidi.
The former Hungarian national team and Premier League player was also asked about the goals of the club.
"I won't tell you a big secret that it's not our explicit goal to win the MOL Hungarian Cup, but the game against Vidi is a great opportunity to see what we can do against a stronger opponent. We have a big challenge ahead of us, but it serves our long-term goals very well to measure where we are against a team of this quality. The whole team is looking forward to Wednesday with enthusiasm, my expectation is that we continue the work we have started and come back with the quality of play we have been working for during the week. BVSC is a club with a strong tradition and a good track record, with national team players having played here in the past. Of course, there are reasons why we are now playing in NB III, but the stated aim is to play in NB II, and I came here to help with that. But right now I don't want to look too far ahead, we have the cup game against Vidi in front of us." - said the head coach of the Zugló team.
