Our head coach spoke to M1 TV about his appointment, the potential of the youngsters and the challenges facing the team.
Our head coach was interviewed by M1 before the start of the OTP Bank Liga NB I.
Tamás Pető returned to Székesfehérvár after three and a half years, where he had a brief debut as a coach seven years ago. I want to see an uncompromising fight for 90 minutes. We will have a lot of young players this season, we are working every day to make sure that these youngsters can show their talent. We want to strengthen, but we have a full squad now, we have improved a lot in terms of quality, and this squad is capable of setting ourselves bigger goals.”
Tamás Pető will make his debut as head coach of Vidi on Thursday, in the away Conference League qualifier against Sumqayit FK, and said he would only be satisfied with his side going through: "We have a long and difficult series ahead of us, with four games in ten days, the first of which is in Azerbaijan. Our opponents are a physical team, but we can compete with them."
The manager also spoke about the targets in the NB I: "In the NB I, our goal will be to win every game. Our first game will be a special one, we will have two days to prepare. Kecskemét are a very strong, physical team, with a good start we can have a good season."
