"I'm happy, we got three very important points"

Tamás Pető and the head coach of Debrecen, Csaba Máté evaluated the 2-0 victory of Vidi.

Tamás Pető:

"I'm happy, we got three very important points. We've done a lot for this in the last few games, and this time the ball finally bounced in off the post and not out. We controlled the whole game, we had the right attitude and the right use of the chances that came our way. Gradisar played less in the spring, he came up from very low place, I'm happy that he scored again. He does a lot for success in every training and every game, when he doesn't score, he's almost working for two men in the pitch."

In response to a journalist's question, our head coach also mentioned Áron Csongvai: "Csongvai is also a young player, but he is already the team captain, he should be one of our leaders. A few weeks ago we had a serious one-on-one conversation, and since then he's been on the right track! If he continues to play like this, he could be knocking on the door of the national team soon."

Máté Csaba:

"The match started nervously, and both teams showed at the beginning that they were not in an easy position. In a situation like this, it's important who scores the first goal that gives you some peace of mind. This time it was Vidi who did it after a corner. Our belief and fighting ability were not as much of a problem as last week, we improved in that, but we were less quality. In crucial situations we made mistakes in front of our goal. We could have made the game closer with a penalty. We also had no luck with VAR, the second home goal was questionable for me. After that we had a chance to make it good, unfortunately we were not efficient enough in front of the Vidi goal."
