Five out of five and another confident Vidi win

MOL Fehervar FC beat Kisvarda 3-0 on Saturday evening to remain top of the table.

Fourth in the table Kisvarda were the visitors to the MOL Arena Sosto on Saturday evening. Our opponents had picked up 9 points from their opening four games with wins against Ujpest, Honved and Paks. Only DVSC had beaten then at home. Vidi went into the game with a 100% record to sit top of the league. Club legend Laszlo Tiber was given a shirt to celebrate his 70th birthday before the kick off.

It was Kisvarda who started bravely and a 7th minute shot from Kovacsreti bounced back of the post from 22 meters. The first chance for Vidi arrived 3 minutes later: Petryak fed Hodzic with the ball and he tried to lift it over the Felipe, who had come out of his goal, but the keeper got a hand to it.

The game was 15 minutes old when Nego sent a header over the bar from 7 meters. There was a good tempo to the match and the supporters had nothing to be bored about. A powerful shot from Lucas at the other end went just wide of the goal after 20 minutes. Hodzic did well 10 minutes later to dribble past his man with good skill before bringing a good save out of Felipe. Petryak tried to find the corner of the net from a tight angle but again the Brazilian keeper was equal to it. The breakthrough arrived after 41 minutes when a free kick from Huszti was met by the unmarked Musliu from close range to make it 1-0. It was the defenders first goal since signing for Vidi in what was his debut game.

The first few minutes of the second half went by quietly and without incident. Then a close range Juhasz header went just wide of the target. A minute later and the Vidi captain was again looking dangerous with his head. This time it was heading towards the bottom corner until Felipe dived to save brilliantly. The resulting corner from Huszti was met by the head of Milanov to make it 2-0.

Milanov curled a shot from 15 meters on 61 minutes, which did not cause problems for Felipe. The next 15 minutes passed off without a serious chance on either goal. Then on 77 minutes, Kovacs took the ball inside his half and beat his man before playing a lovely ball out to Nego, whose cross into the middle was met by the head of Hodzic to make it 3-0. It was a fine move and a lovely goal to round it off.

Grozav had a free kick after 82 minutes that hit the post. There was no change to the score in the minutes remaining and it was Vidi who picked up another confident win.

MOL Fehervar FC have won their first five games in a row and Ferencvaros were the last side to do this back in season 2015/2016. FTC had a goal difference then of +10, but Vidi already have an impressive +13. Vidi are next in action at the home of Budapest Honved on the 14th September.
