Five interesting things to know before the match against Kecskemét

We have won all of our last four NB I league games at home against our opponents on Saturday.

In the 28th round of the OTP Bank Liga 2022/2023 season, our team will host Kecskemét TE at the MOL Arena Sósto on Saturday at 15:00

Our team has played 16 first division matches against Kecskemét in the past, nine of which ended with a Vidi win, two draws and five defeats. The aggregate goal difference of the matches is 31:20 in our favour, the average goal per game is 3.2.

In eight home games we have won five, drawn one and lost two, with Vidi winning all four of their last four. Our last win was last August, when Loic Nego and Stopira scored to give us a 2-1 win.

We have played in three domestic cup finals (two of which have not been held for years) against Kecskemét.In 2011, we lost 3-2 in the Hungarian Cup final, and in the same year we won 1-0 in the Super Cup final. In 2012, we won the League Cup with an impressive 3-0 victory in the final.

3. Top scorers

The most successful scorer in the history of the Fehérvár-Kecskemét match in the NB I is Nemanja Nikolics, who scored five times for us. He was followed by André Alves with four goals, while Kecskemét's Foxi Kethevoama scored three. Our sports director Roland Juhász scored twice against Kecskemét.

4. The biggest win

On 26 May 2013, we picked up our biggest away win ever against our Saturday's opponents. Led by José Gomes, we took the lead in the game with a goal from Roland Juhász, followed by strikes from Roland Szolnoki, Sándor Torghelle and Paraiba, before another goal from Juhász wrapped up the game with a 5-1 win for Vidi. From our current squad, our full-back Stopira played the whole 2013 match as a starter.

5. The date: 22 April.

The last time we played in the top flight was in 2017, when we drew 1-1 at MTK Budapest, with our goal being scored by Mirko Maric. In 2006 we lost 3-0 in Kaposvár, in 1984 in Csepel when Lajos Májer's goal was only enough to make things right, the home team won 2-1. In 1978, we played MTK 1-1 with János Nagy II's goal against MTK in the Sóstó.

Dávid Mohl was born on 22 April 1985 and celebrated a league bronze medal in 2006 and League Cup victories in 2008 and 2009 with Vidi. He is currently working as a coach of our second team.
