Five interesting things ahead of the game with DVTK

MOL Vidi FC travel to Miskolc on Saturday in search of three league points.

MOL Vidi FC play their 31st OTP league match on Saturday at the home of DVTK. The game on the 4th May will kick off at 17:00pm and we take a look at 5 interesting factors.

DVTK are once again dancing on the knives edge
Diosgyor have just about avoided relegation in the last two seasons. They ended in 10th place in 2016-17 and 2017-18. They picked up the same amount of points in both those seasons than the team that ended up being relegated in the form of MTK and Balmazujvaros. DVTK had a worse goal difference on both occasions (9 less than MTK and 2 worse than Balmazujvaros), and the 6 games against Vidi produced just a single point. However, they survived by winning more games than the other two sides mentioned. The Miskolc side are currently in one of the relegation places and occupy 11th going into Saturday's game.

We have played DVTK 69 times in the first division
Vidi have played Disogyor 69 times in the NB I since 1968. The overall record weighs in favour of Vidi who have won 38, drawn 9 and lost 22 times. We have also come out on top in games played in Miskolc: 16 wins, 4 draws and 15 defeats.

Istvan Kovacs can step into the top 20
Midfielder Istvan Kovacs continues to gradually move forward in the overall appearance table. He caught up with Laszlo Disztl most recently and is now within touching distance of another legend with Laszlo Kovacs on 261. Koko can make it into the all time top 20 this weekend.

Ferenc Horvath is involved
The currently manager of Szombathely Haladas has played and managed both DVTK and MOL Vidi. The supporters are very aware that Horvath played in three periods for the club (1991-96, 2004, 2006-07). He has also worn the colours of DVTK and he signed from us to join the Miskolc club in 2006. His playing career came to an end and he moved into management. He was named first team coach at Vidi in October 2015 and would then go on to manage DVTK. He remained there until March 2017.

The battle of two young coaches
Among the current 12 managers in the OTP league are two that have not yet celebrated their 40th birthday: The two will come face-to-face on Saturday with Fernando and Marko Nikolic sitting in the two dug outs. The DVTK manager is older than MOL Vidi's manager. Ferenc Horvath was born on the 2nd June 1979 while Nikolic was born on the 20th July 1979. Both are 25 years younger than current Puskas Academy manager Andras Komjati. Fernando enjoys the better record between the two having won 2 and lost 1 of the 3 games.
