Defeat against Puskás Akadémia FC

The home team won 2-1 at the Pancho Arena.

In the 31st round of the OTP Bank Liga our team played away at Puskás Akadémia, head coach Bartosz Grzelak sent out the starting eleven of Kovács D. - Nego, Larsen, Stopira, Heister - Flores, Pokorny - Kastrati, Kodro, Houri - Dárdai. Schön Szabolcs was back on the bench after injury, but Fiola, Bese and Hangya were still unavailable.

In the 3rd minute we had the first chance, Dárdai's cross was tipped over the bar by Markek. On the other side, in the 8th minute, Komáromi's shot was deflected wide of the right post. Houri's shot from distance missed the target and in the 20th minute Komáromi's 7-metre shot was cleared by Dániel Kovács. Two minutes later, Pokorny's header bounced off the top bar and Dárdai did the same from the rebound.

In the 36th minute, a pass from Kastrati put Kodro in a great position, but he curled a 14-metre shot wide of the bottom left. Before the end of the half, a possible penalty was reviewed by VAR for handling inside the penalty area of Puskás Akadémia, but no penalty was awarded, ending the half with a goalless draw.

At the break neither team made a substitution, and the first chance went to the home side, with Gruber's shot being saved by Kovács. After Dárdai's free-kick, Pokorny headed over in the 49th minute and PAFC took the lead in the 52nd. A cross from the right was flicked on by Kovács, but Gruber was on the receiving end of the rebound and fired into the net from close range (1-0). In the 62nd minute, Kastrati's 16-metre shot bounced off the post, and four minutes later Kodro fired over. In the 72nd minute we equalised! Kastrati sent the ball in and Dárdai headed into the goal from 7 meters (1-1).

Stronati's header from a free kick was saved by Kovács, and in the 79th minute Zahedi fouled Larsen, who came on as a substitute for the home team, received his second yellow card and a red, giving us a man advantage. In the 83rd minute, Makarenko took a shot from distance but missed the target, while at the other end, Slagveer's cross was headed into the net by Komáromi (2-1). In extra time, Larsen was also sent off after a VAR review, and Puskás Akadémia FC won the match 2-1.
