Budapest Honvéd FC, completely revamped this summer, visit the MOL Arena Sóstó on Sunday evening

There is a new sporting director and head coach at Kispest, where a starting squad of players has arrived and nearly 20 have left.

On Sunday evening at 20:00 Budapest Honvéd will visit our home, the MOL Arena Sóstó. The Kispesti team finished the 2021/2022 OTP Bank Liga season in ninth place, while they lost the MOL Hungarian Cup to eventual winners Ferencváros in the quarter-finals. The summer has seen huge changes in the 19th district Budapest club.

At the end of May, the Red and Blacks agreed a deal with Scot Chris Docherty and Croatian Ivan Kepcija, with Docherty as sporting director and Kepcija as professional advisor. And in June, a new head coach was appointed in the form of Scotsman Tam Courts. 11 players have arrived and 21 have left in recent weeks.
