Alvarez showed plenty of good movement and also had shots at goal during the match. He also did really well to set up Burgos for his header with the first goal. The Culebrita Macheda sports journal also added that Alvarez played his part in the win. He also performed well throughout the whole of 2014. The sports journal picked out Alvarez as their best player in the game against Nicaragua.
