Videoton FC produced the needed second half performance to claim all three points on Saturday. Kaposvar made it very difficult in the first half for Paulo Sousa's side, but patience proved the decisive key in the second period. There were several changes to the starting line-up, due to injuries and suspension. Caneira picked up 5 yellows, and was replaced by Vasko at the heart of the defence. Brachi picked up a knock during the week, with Szolnoki switching to right back, while Hector came in on the left side of the defence. Paulo Sousa started with a front two pairing of Nikolics and Torghelle, with a settled looking midfield of Toth, Sandor, Walter and Oliveira behind them. A win from the men in red and blue would help them close the gap on the two sides above them, both of whom were in away action over the weekend. Kaposvar are always a tough team to both break down and beat and today's match was no different. With the games coming thick and fast, it is important that Vidi continue the momentum.

Vidi were looking to gain revenge for the 2-0 defeat they suffered back in July at Kaposvar. That match was the first league defeat of the season for Videoton, in a 90 minutes that will be remembered for the terrible rainy conditions, that made the pitch unplayable in many areas. Kaposvar may occupy 13th place in the table but they last suffered a defeat back in September. Neither side was able to create a serious goalscoring chance in the first half. Tibor Sisa, the manager of Kaposvar, did his homework and his side were very organised and played tactical football. Vidi played a new formation of 4-4-2 in the hope of putting plenty of pressure on the visiting sides back line. It was Kaposvar who had the first effort on goal after 15 minutes. U21 player Balazs Benjamin shot from 25 meters out, with the ball bouncing just infront of Bozovics in the Vidi goal. The Montenegro keeper managed to palm it round the post for a corner. Sandor did have a chance after 22 minutes but he shot straight at a defender.

Oliviera's precise cross from the right was headed home in spectacular fashion by Nemanja Nikolics. Gyurcso was seeing a lot of the ball on the right, and his speed was causing Kaposvar big problems. Janvari was cautioned for a challenge on the winger, and he soon saw red following a bad tackle on Gyurcso. Oliveira came off to be replaced by Silva, as Vidi reverted back to 4-5-1 formation. Videoton made the game safe in the final minute. Gyurcso excaped down the right and his shot on goal was deflected into his own net by Sedlak.

Vidi made it another win to the start of the spring campaign. They are now undefeated in league and cup competition in 12 games. The defence kept another clean sheet to confirm that Sousa's side will be a major force over the coming months.
