Kaposvar make the visit to the Sostoi stadium on Saturday
Kaposvar were not among the busiest of clubs in the winter transfer window. Only three players joined them during that period, including the Slovakan player Sedlak, Addo who originates from Ghana and Senegalise player Bebeto. There were 5 players promoted from their reserve side, with Haruna, Diallo, Horváth, Major and Fenyvesi all strengthening Tibor Sisa's squad. Morrocan Jawad left the club, as did Moldovan Alexeev. Serbian top goalscorer Milan Perics joined Videoton FC, while Kulcsar Kornel also left the southern based club. Serbian player Mudres also left the club after his contract was mutually terminated. Both Hazi and Vadas went out on loan deals to second division side BKV Elore.
Kaposvar played their first key match on the 22nd February, when they entertained Papa. Despite dominating large parts of that game, they ended up losing by a single goal to Lombard Papa. They then faced Debrecen three days later, in the Hungarian cup quarter finals. A fairly even match produced a 1-0 win for Debrecen to take into the second leg. Kaposvar have a fairly small squad and Sisa's team tends to play a 4-2-3-1 formation. Both Benjamin Balazs and Gabor Janvari made it in to the Hungarian U21 squad, that travelled out to Malta during the week
Perics socred both goals for Kaposvar in their 2-0 win over Vidi in July. | ||
