Videoton FC take on Ferencvaros on Sunday afternoon in the OTP league.
The final match of 2013 kicks off at the Sostoi stadium on Sunday afternoon at 16:30. Ferencvaros will be the opponents as a busy year comes to an end. The green and whites made a perfect start to the season, winning six of their opening eight matches. Only Videoton and Debrecen managed to beat them. With eight matches of the season played, Ferencvaros sat just two points behind leaders Videoton in second place. Then tragedy hit the Budapest club with the sudden and unexpected heart attack to their player, Adams.
FTC suffered a downturn in form, coupled with other problems within the club. This all led to the departure of their manager Ricardo Moniz, who left the club last week. His assistant Csaba Mate replaced him for the last two games of the year. FTC picked up just six points from a possible twenty-four league points from week 9-16. This has all resulted in them slipping down the league table to their current seventh place. They also went out of the Hungarian cup during the week against bitter rivals Ujpest.
Ferencvaros have won seven of their sixteen league games to date, with three draws and six defeats. They have scored the same amount of goals as they have conceded, which is 24. Top scorer is Daniel Bode with eight goals to his name. David Holman and Julian Jenner both have three each.
