A Zé Luis hatrick gave Videoton a 3-2 win over their Norwegian opponents.
Vidi played their fourth friendly match of the second winter training camp on Thursday afternoon. The game was played at a location, which was around 15 minutes from the teams hotel, and on a pitch that has been home to Videoton's training sessions for the majority of the last two weeks.
The match kicked off in a mixture of sunshine and heavy winds with Vidi playing in their familiar red shirts and blue shorts. Norwegian opponents Strømsgodset were in blue shirts and white shorts. They also included Hungarian forward Peter Kovacs in their starting line-up. There were chances at both ends in the early moments of this friendly. Zé Luis and a shot from Hudak tested the keeper, while Keita also tried his luck for the Norwegian side. Strømsgodset went ahead midway through the first period. The goal came from Kovacs, with the former Hungarian international arriving at the near post after a low cross from the right, to score from close range. (0-1).
The Videoton reply was not long in coming. Zé Luis escaped his marker on 33 minutes, and kept his composure to calmly steer the ball in to the bottom right of the net. (1-1).
Vidi managed to turn the game around a couple of minutes later. Oliveira sent in a low cross from the left, with the alert Zé Luis reacting fastest to score a great goal to make it 2-1. Haraszti had a shot at goal while Alvarez showed good skill towards the end of the first half, with Vidi going in at the break with a one goal advantage.
There were two changes made to the Vidi side at the break. Kovacs and Lupeta came on in place of Oliveira and Haraszti. The game continued with chances being created. Zé Luis just failed to connect with a Lupeta cross in front of the Norwegian goal. Wikheim had a shot at Tujvel following a quick counter attack, but it went wide of the right post. Kovacs provided Zé Luis with a lovely ball on 61 minutes, and with his left foot sent the ball in to the bottom right of the net to make the score 3-1 to Videoton.
It was nearly 4-1 from the kick off with Zé Luis shooting over. There were a total of four changes after 63 minutes, with Nikolics, Sandor, Vitor Gomes and juhasz all coming on to replace Hudak, Tar, Papp and three goal man Zé Luis. Lupeta then had a good period, showing several good runs down the right and a dangerous shot. However, back came Strømsgodset with their second goal to make it 3-2 on 77 minutes.
The biggest chance towards the end of the match came from Nikolics, who saw his shot cleared off the line by a defender, following a pass from Lupeta. Niko did have another chance just before the final whistle, but the keeper managed to save that effort.
Vidi deservedly won their final friendly match, creating several chances in the process. The Fehervar side will next be in action on Wednesday in a League cup match against Kaposvar.
