Vidi will play Vasas for the 91st time in the first division on Saturday

Videoton played their first ever first division match against Vasas but the result did not go according to plan on that day.

The Budapest club will play Videoton in the first division for the 91st time on Saturday. The two first met in the top division on the 3rd March 1968. That game was played in Angyalfold, with Vasas emerging 6-1 winners. Vidi's goal that day came from Laszlo Csukovics. The 90 matches have seen 31 wins for Videoton. Vasas have come out winners in 27 games while the remaining 32 have been drawn. Vidi enjoy a better goalscoring record with 130 goals scored and 118 conceded.

There have been 46 games between the two sides outside of the capital. A very good record on the home pitch has meant that Vasas have only won five times in all league matches. However, Vidi have won 24 games and the remaining 17 have been drawn. The goal difference reads 84-42 in Vidi's favour.

Only player to score 3 goals in a match

Several former players have managed to score two goals in games against Vasas. However, only Andre Alves managed to go one better and score three in 87 games between the two teams. That came in an away game in season 2009/2010, which saw Vidi record a 4-2 win.

(Videoton won 4-2 at the home of Vasas in 2009. The home side had led 2-1 until the 82nd minute.)

Vidi player with the most goals against Vasas

Jozsef Szabo has scored the most goals over the years against Vasas. He hit a total of 8 goals against the Budapest club.
