Videoton held a press conference in Malta and the team then trained at the stadium.
Videoton travelled out to Malta on a private plane and landed on the island just after midday on Monday. The second leg match will be played at the Hibernians stadium with a 17.45pm kick off. The team trained at the stadium on Monday ahead of the game with Balzan FC, which Vidi lead 2-0 from the first leg. Manager Marko Nikolic faced the media in the afternoon.
"I am counting on a different game than the first leg. Our opponents will go in to the game with a two goal deficit and will not be defending with ten players. They will need to attack. As to what changes we will make, I do not want to talk about those now. I have good memories of Malta as I was the manager of Vojvodina 4 years ago when we beat Hibernians 4-1" - commented the manager.
"As I have said previously, I would like to cause a surprise and we will be fighting to win the game and go through. Anything can happen in football and even a 3-0 win" - commented Marko Micsovics, the manager of Balzan FC. "We do not have big players like Vidi, who have Danko Lazovic, Roland Juhasz or even Marko Scepovic. Our team is very together and tightly knit. We are trailing at the moment, but I would not even play if I would not believe we have a chance to go through" - commented Bojan Kaljevic, the forward of Balzan. The team headed out to train at 17:30pm with the temperature at around 30c. There was a warm up session that was followed by some ball possession and the program included a small sided game. Crosses were also practised and set pieces. The session lasted around 60 minutes before the team returned back to the hotel and dinner at 20:00pm.
