Our opponents kicked off the new season with a 1-2 home defeat to Ujpest.
Vidi will play their first home league match of the new season on Saturday 22nd August. The green and whites finished in 10th place last season and have kicked off this season with a home defeat to Ujpest.
Manager Gabor Osztermajer saw his team play several pre-season friendlies over the summer. They played against four second division sides between 18th July and 8th August. Those included a 3-0 win over Kaposvar, 4-0 against Dorog, 5-0 against Budaors and a 4-1 victory against Pecs. They did lose to Honved 2-1 and drew against DVTK 1-1.
Several players left Paks over recent weeks. Laszlo Bartha moved to PMFC, Tamas Balo to Dunaujvaros, Tamas Egerszegi was free transferred while Tamas Kecskes headed over to Siofok. Barna Kesztyus switched to Honved while Norber Konyves moved to ZTE FC. Patrik Poor joined DVSC. Arrivals included Adam Martin and Richard Nagy from Kaposvar, Istvan Bognar from MTK, David Forgacs from Nyiregyhaza. Keeper Lajos Hegedus arrived from Puskas Academy, Marton Lorentz from Sifok and Mate Sajban from Mezokovesd. Balint Szobo joined Paks from Vidi but was loaned out to Kaposvar.
We played Paks twice last season away winning 2-0 in the summer and drawing the spring fixture 0-0. However, there was also a 2-0 home defeat to them as well.
We have played Paks 33 times in the first division with 19 Vidi wins, 8 draws and 6 defeats. There have been 14 games at home with 11 won, 2 drawn and only a single loss.
