Nikolics scored the most goals while Gyurcso had the most assists.
Videoton supporters have had 122 chances to celebrate a goal by their team since the beginning of Janaury 2013. The first goal came against UD Marbella in a pre-season friendly match. The last of those goals was scored in the final match of the autumn at home to Ferencvaros. A run of 26 matches saw Vidi score in each game until the November away match at Kaposvar. There were interesting facts to come out of the goalscoring list as well.
It is perhaps no surprise that Nemanja Nikolics headed the list of players scoring goals, which totalled 25 in all. Niko found the back of the net 30 times during the year of 2013. There then follows around 12 players who scored between 4 and 8 goals over the twelve months.
1. Nemanja Nikolics 30 goals
2. Gyurcsó Ádám, Kovács István, Zé Luis 8 goals
5. Arturo Álvarez, Nikola Mitrovics 7 goals
7. Lupeta, Oliveira 6 goals
9. Juhász Roland, Paraiba, Torghelle Sándor 5 goals
12. Kleinheisler László, Vinícius 4 goals
14. Álvaro Brachi, Marco Caneira, Luque, Szekeres Adrián, Szolnoki Roland, Uros Nikolics 2 goals
20. Haraszti Zsolt, Nildo, Sándor György, Tar Zsolt, Vítor Gomes, Zsótér Donát 1 goal
1 own goal (Kálnoki Kis)
It is perhaps harder to guess which player set up the most goals over the year. The answer is Adam Gyurcso with his nine assists, meaning he heads the list of goal makers. Istvan Kovacs is behind him with 7 assists, which is the same as both Nikolics and Oliveira managed.
1. Gyurcsó Ádám 9 assists
2. Kovács István, Nemanja Nikolics, Oliveira 7 assists
5. Nikola Mitrovics, Torghelle Sándor 6 assists
7. Arturo Álvarez, Nildo, Paraiba 4 assists
10. Héctor Sánchez, Stopira, Tóth Balázs, Vítor Gomes 3 assists
14. Kleinheisler László, Sándor György, Zsótér Donát 2 assists
17. Marco Caneira, Fabio, Haraszti Zsolt, Lupeta, Mamadu, Zé Luis 1 assist
The list above shows that a total of 78 assists from Vidi players were produced. The remaining 43 goals came from 4 free kicks, which Gyurcso scored three from, Brachi who was successful once, and 9 penalty kicks. Niko hit six of those, with Torghelle scoring from two and Brachi one. The remaining 30 goals came without an assist in the lead up to the goal.
Another interesting aspect to know about was how the goals were scored. Left foot or right or via the head? The answer is not that surprising: 75 goals or 61% came from the right foot, with 30 (25%) coming from the left. A further 16 goals (13%) was through a header. Alvarez scored 6 goals with his left foot, while Niko showed what his right foot could do with 24 goals. Nikolics, Ze Luis and Juhasz both scored 3 each with headers.
