Vidi extend the contract of Bence Babos

Our club has extended the contract of Bencé Babos, who returned from his loan at Ajka, and on Monday he started the preparation for the 2024/2025 season with our squad.

Born in 2004, Bence Babos, who can also play as an attacking midfielder and striker, made his debut in the 2022/2023 season in the NB I, coming on as a substitute in our team's 4-0 win against Budapest Honvéd. In the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 seasons he was a key member of our second team in NB III, while last season he went on loan at second division Ajka, where he started 23 league games and came on as a substitute in eight, scoring five goals.

"I had a great time in Ajka last season, I was part of a good group and team and I played a lot, but it's a great feeling to be back in Fehérvár. The NB II was a very useful experience for me, I faced a much faster and tougher game and opponents than I had previously in NB III or in the junior team, I had to make decisions much faster, but I feel I managed to pick up the pace in a few games. I'm sure that the experience of the last season will be useful for me in the NB I. After the summer of 2022, this will be my second pre-season with the first team of Vidi, of course my main goal is to prove what I am capable of. I'm not returning to an unfamiliar environment at all, I played football with a good number of the team's young, home-grown players in the youth system.
