Vidi are unable to pick up points against MTK

A Kanta penalty settled the match in favour of the blue and whites.

Vidi travelled to Budapest to face MTK at their temporary stadium at the Illovszy stadium. Roland Juhasz returned to the starting line up after 4 weeks out through injury. There were small chances inside the opening 10 minutes with Thian having a dangerous effort for the home side. Feczesin also tried his luck from distance for Videoton. Juhasz then had two headers go over after the 11th and 20th minute. Vinicius flicked a ball on after 21 minutes that went just over the right post. The biggest chance of the match arrived on 33 minutes. Vinicius released Fejes who cut the ball back from the goal line. The ball fell to the feet of Feczesin, who hit the resulting shot over the bar. Gyurcso had a chance close to half time, but his shot went over. The two sides went in at the break with the score at 0-0.

It was the visiting side that started the second half on top. Feczesin took a quick free kick that fell to Oliveira, who shot over. Keeper Hegedus then dived to his right to deal with a Gyurcso free kick after 50 minutes. MTK then had their own moments with Torghelle receiving the ball inside the area and neatly playing the ball back for Kanta. The experienced midfielder then blasted his shot on to the crossbar. Vass then saw his shot from distance go over.

Patkai sent a dangerous header just wide after connecting with a corner from Gyurcso. Danilovics then dealt well with an effort from Gera. The home side were then awarded a penalty when Feczesin handled inside his own area. Kanta stood behind the ball and converted the resulting spot kick to make it 1-0 after 80 minutes.

Szolnoki blocked an 86th minute shot from Myke, while the home side focused on defending for the remaining minutes of the match. Vidi could not forge anymore chances and referee Kassai blew full time. MTK picked up the three points while Vidi will not focus on the return leg against Lech Poznan on Thursday.
