Videoton visit Honved at the weekend

The two clubs have met 41 times over the years in first division matches played in the capital. The overall stats give Honved the upper hand. The very first game between Honved and Vidi ended in a 2-1 away win for the red and blues on the 11th August 1968. The first bad series of runs in games at the Bozsik stadium, came between 1975 and 1981, when Vidi lost seven in a row. Things improved between 1981 and 1984 with three wins for Videoton in Budapest. The barren run then began from 1984 until 2008, a total of 24 years! when Vidi were unable to emerge with three points. Even worse was the fact that from 1995 until 2006, Videoton were unable to even score a goal at the Bozsik stadium.
