Vidi will kick off the new 2013-2014 league season with a home match at the Sostoi stadium.
Sunday's opponents ended last season in 8th place having picked up 44 points. They showed good form throughout the second half of the season, finishing the spring season as the 5th best club over the second part of the season. Haladas have not been too successful when they have faced Videoton. The red and blues won both games against the Szombathely side last season, winning 2-1 at home and picking up 3 points away, following a 1-0 win. Tamas Artner's side were also defeated 2-0 in the Hungarian cup.
Haladas have not been too busy in the transfer window so far. Gergo Gocze has left to join Pecs, while Andras Simon has returned to Győr after a loan period. Adam Simon's loan deal has also ended with the player returning to Palermo. Former favourite player Krisztian Kenesei has move to first division side Papa. Haladas have been interested in Daniel Vadnai from MTK, while a major plus for them was that striker Andras Rado remained at the club.
The young forward mentioned in an interview on his club's own website, that Videoton are one of the hardest teams that they could have received to start the new season, but they will not go out onto the pitch with their hands up. He also added that they would do everything possible to get the best result.
Haladas played their final friendly match of pre-season against ZTE, which they drew 1-1. Their manager fielded the following side for that game: Rózsa - Schimmer (Jagodics M., 60.), Fehér (Kulcsár, 70.), Devecseri (Tóth P., 46.), Bosnjak – Szakály (Simon Á., 46.), Iszlai (Németh M., 46.) – Gyurján (Rajos, 60.), Nagy G., Halmosi – Ugrai (Andorka, 46.). Guzmics Richárd, Kalász Milán and Radó András. Haladas' goal came from Gyurján.
