Tenth place Honved visit the MOL Arena Sosto on Saturday

Match 18 of the OTP Bank league sees Budapest Honved visit the MOL Arena Sosto for a 19:30pm kick off on Saturday evening. The Kispest club have drawn the most games in the league together with Kisvarda. The 17 matches have so far produced 4 wins, 6 draws and 7 defeats. The red and blacks have scored 26 goals and conceded 25 at the other end. 

They went two rounds in the Europa League in the summer. Finnish club Inter Turku were beaten in Q1 before they were knocked out by Swedish club Malmo 2-0 in the second qualifying round. 

Honved have managed to score four goals in a game in three of their matches this season. Those came in a 4-2 away win at Diosgyor, which was followed up by a 5-1 win at home against the Miskolc side. There was also a good 4-2 win away at Zalaegerszeg in October. 

We played out a 2-2 draw away in October 2020. However, their manager on that day was Tamas Bodog, who has since been replaced by Istvan Pisont in the hot seat. The winter transfer window has seen Roland Ugrai, David Kis-Kalnoki and Gabor Toth depart the Budapest club. Nir Bardea, Lukacs Bole, Lukas Klemenz and Dominik Nagy have arrived. Their first league game of 2021 ended in a 2-2 home draw against ZTE.
