MOL Vidi FC played their second friendly game of the winter pre-season on Thursday evening.
Spanish third division side RB Linense provided the opposition for the second friendly game of the winter pre-season. The game was played at the small local stadium and right on the border with Gibraltar. Manager Marko Nikolic fielded the following eleven for the match: Kovácsik – Nego, Juhász, Fiola, Stopira – Huszti, Nikolov, Elek – Milanov – Scepovics, Futács.
The first action of the friendly fell to the home side after 6 minutes. Pirulo gained possession on the right and Mai then ran at goal and aimed for the near post, but keeper Kovacsik got down well to deal with the effort. It was Pirulo again after 18 minutes who sent in a ball from the right and Ahmed was well placed to convert the ball into the back of the net (1-0). A cross from Stopira after 32 minutes ended with Elek shooting from 10 meters, with the ball heading for goal until a home player stuck out a leg for a corner. The resulting corner was taken by Huszti and it was met by the head of Stopira, but the header from the left back flew over the goal. There were no further big chances at either end in the closing stages of the first period as the teams went in with the home side leading by a single goal.
Half time saw a couple of changes for the Vidi side with Paulo Vinicius replacing Attila Fiola and Marko Futacs coming off for Armin Hodzic. The second half was 15 minutes old when Milanov played in Elek inside the box, and the midfielder back heeled the ball into the box, but the defender managed to clear. Several changes took place on the hour mark with Harsfalvi, Hangya, Bence Toth, Krisztian Tamas, Reti, Berecz, Anel Hadzic, Istvan Kovacs and Elvir Hadzic all coming on. Linense defender Kibamba did well on 65 minutes to slide in and keep his side ahead. A Hangya free kick deflected off the wall for a corner. With a minute remaining, Vidi snatched the draw when a good ball in from Kovacs was controlled by Hodzic inside the box and then volleyed home (1-1).
