Mate Papp: I took Istvan Kovacs' advice and shot at goal

"I got 60 minutes in Wednesday's match and felt really good out there on the pitch. The tempo was quite fast and we created several chances against our opponents, who are not a bad side. It was really good to play against Italian player Alessandro Diamanti, who will probably be part of his countries World cup squad. This is a very valuable win as Evergrande are towards the end of their preparations, so it makes the 5-1 win over them that much more impressive.

I have been practicing lots with my long range shooting and free kick taking. When I got hold of the ball after 73 minutes, I felt that I had to take the chance with a shot. It needed some luck to go in, but I was really pleased that I managed to score. This was my first goal for Videoton's first team. Istvan Kovacs told me at half time that if I get the chance, I should calmly have a try so I took his advice. The coaching staff are continuously giving me support and confidence. I feel that there are no problems in this area. This is my second training camp so I got the chance to get to know my team mates a little bit better, both on the pitch and off it.
