Marko Nikolic: We are proud to represent Hungarian football

The two managers shared their thoughts on the second leg match at the Pancho Arena.

Marko Nikolic:

"I congratulate my players for the win and for going through. It was a really good match today and I feel that today we were the better side. We kept our discipline from the first game, but we were more dangerous in front of the Bulgarian goal. We could have decided the tie much earlier but we were like soldiers out on the pitch. For me the players are heroes and they did all that was planned. It was a really big win today and I am very proud. I hope that everyone is proud of us in Hungary. Going through means that we still have a minimum of four games to play in Europe. However, I hope it will be even more than that. Together over the two summer's, we have played 16 games in Europe, which perhaps is more than all of the Hungarian sides together. We proudly and honestly represent Hungarian football in Europe. You cannot see from the outside but it is not easy to play games like this. We were in Bulgaria this time last week in the heat and then travelled home during the night, before playing a new game on Saturday. We worked well and we need to carry this on. We will travel to Malmö on Monday. I said before the game that however good Ludogorets are, nobody can take the right away from us to dream. Thank you to the supporters who came out. I would ask them to come out in similar numbers on Saturday. Not because of me, but for the players. I want to wish good luck to Ludogorets as they are a good club."

Paulo Autuori:

"We did not play well but it is not true that we were that poor. The sending off of Vura made it emotionally difficult. Those 10-15 minutes and the conceded goal decided the tie. My players did not carry out the tactical instructions and they did not concentrate. The red card was not fair as the first yellow was not a booking. One thing certain is that the players lacked heart in the second half. This resulted in us not going through. Football is like this and we will have to continue in the Europa League."
